To ensure greater comfort, a dedicated shuttle for our community will temporarily run between the station and key points at Lionesa BH.
Launching in March, this public transport option will also connect Lionesa Station to the hub and other locations.
Four new Bird and Bolt docking stations will be installed on campus, promoting sustainable travel by bike or scooter and reducing carbon footprint.
NEW LEIXÕES TRAIN LINE
It is now possible to travel directly from Porto, Gaia, Espinho, and Ovar to the Lionesa Business Hub.
The reactivation of this railway line makes access to these areas easier and faster, mostly without the need for transfers, ensuring more practical and efficient journeys.
The new Lionesa Station is just a 15-minute walk from the campus. To encourage the use of this new mobility option, enhance user comfort, and provide greater convenience, additional transport options such as buses and green mobility solutions, including e-scooters and electric scooters, will be introduced.
Journeys on the Leixões Line are integrated with the Andante network, a unified transport system that facilitates mobility across the Porto Metropolitan Area. With Andante, passengers can seamlessly travel using various transport services, including the UNIR network, Metro do Porto, and Comboios de Portugal, simplifying and improving commuting efficiency.
This integration enhances convenience, offering passengers a smoother and more accessible travel experience.
Four new Bird and Bolt docking stations will also be installed at strategic locations across the campus: CarPark Norte, GateGallery, CarPark Sul, and Lionesa Station. These will enable more sustainable travel options using bicycles or electric scooters. With this solution, users can commute between Lionesa Station and the campus, travel from home to Lionesa BH via the Leça Green Corridor, or move swiftly between different points within the Lionesa BH campus in a convenient and eco-friendly manner.
This new, practical, and sustainable transport option further promotes efficient urban mobility while reducing the carbon footprint.
Currently, a new bus line within the UNIR network is being studied and is expected to begin operations in March. This service will connect Lionesa Station directly to Lionesa BH, continuing towards Matosinhos City Hall and linking to the Metro, with schedules aligned with CP train services to ensure seamless connections for passengers.
Until this service is activated, Lionesa BH will provide an exclusive, free shuttle service with stops at key locations such as CarPark Sul, GateGallery, CarPark Central, and CarPark Norte. The shuttle does not require prior booking but does require validation via a QR Code on the HelloApp, making it exclusively available to the Lionesa Business Hub community.
Additionally, community members can conveniently use the shuttle to move between different areas within the hub, beyond just Lionesa Station.
The shuttle schedules are aligned with the departure and arrival times of trains on the Leixões Line, as well as the working hours of most companies on campus.
